Séamus is an expert at working in silver, with the traditional time-honoured skills of the silversmith. He makes functional pieces of silversmithing and works to commission for presentation pieces and awards. He also works on the smaller scale of elegant silver jewellery. Séamus’s Gill's talent is moving a flat sheet of silver into a complex shape, taking full advantage of the working qualities of the metal. His work has a simple, elegant, almost classical quality. Although his work is made to commission, Séamus might have a few samples in the studio.
